Welcome to the Centre for health and applied sciences at Ganpat University!
GUNI-CHAS has started as an eminent Centre for encouraging innovative approaches in education and research in the areas of Food and Applied Sciences in the year 2018. The center is dedicated to providing an environment in which freedom of thought and exploration can flourish, where students can explore and harness their strengths and personal talents, interests, and ways of working to the highest potential. The center is committed to providing the highest quality learning environment to its students by using advanced teaching methodology, seminars, journal clubs for the latest trends in food technology, industrial exposure, and training.
GUNI-CHAS offers a well-structured comprehensive Certificate in health nutrition and dietetics, B.Sc. (Food Technology), M.Sc. (Food Technology), and M.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics course curriculum that combines the knowledge of food processing, engineering, packaging, food safety and regulation, food chemistry, therapeutic nutrition, advanced nutrition, food microbiology, and health nutrition with quality control and management. The course also developed the scientific and technical approach of students to understand the nature of raw material to developed new products with high nutrition value as per the demand of the market. This program perceives the present need and future requirements of trained manpower in the Food industry. The importance of food technology lies in the fact that it has the capability to provide food to our population through scientific conversations, eliminating available losses, and making available more balanced and nutritious food.
Centre for Health and Applied Sciences also offers another master's degree program that is M.Sc. Chemistry (Pharmaceutical Analysis), and M.Sc. (Analytical chemistry). The aim of this program is to cater to the need of pharmaceutical industries in the field of analytical sciences.
CHAS also focuses on inculcating the ethical and moral values in students. Students are motivated to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for personal development. Both the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs are accredited by the UGC.

With the rapidly changing and growing field of the food industry, there is strong demand for our graduates both from the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The program uses a theory-to-practice model and prepares graduates for challenging positions in a variety of organizations. Graduates are prepared to move into key leadership roles in the industries.
